GroundedWPB, in partnership with Natural Movers Foundation created the Moving Ground Intensive Series, a summer series of intensives & workshops that are curated to foster both pre-professional & aspiring artists’. With the culmination of diversified training with leading artists, critical practice and implementing a meditative mindset, dancers will leave with a plethora of knowledge and artistic experience from exploring in a safe space.

A hybrid dance and choreographic experience designed for pre-professional dancers, ages 15+ and emerging choreographers, ages 18+. This intensive has been curated to deliver dynamic training, refine artistry and collaborate in choreographic processes.
The Moving Ground Intensive Series is a summer program designed to cultivate the next generation of dancers and choreographers through rigorous training, creative exploration, and mentorship. A collaboration between GroundedWPB and Natural Movers Foundation, this hybrid dance and choreographic experience provides pre-professional dancers and emerging choreographers with a dynamic space to train, create, and develop their artistry.
Dancers will engage in daily masterclasses, intensive rehearsals, and one-on-one mentorship, while emerging choreographers will have the opportunity to develop and present original work, supported by professional rehearsal and performance resources. The week culminates in a final performance, an evening showcasing newly developed works.

THE CHOREOGRAPHY LAB
This intensive functions as both a dance intensive and a choreography lab, offering emerging choreographers the space to create and workshop new material with selected dancers.
The choreography Lab is a unique opportunity for dancers to develop their adaptability, performance quality and artistic interpretation by learning and embodying new works. Working with merging choreographers will present a unique experience that allows dancers to absorb movement, understand diverse choreographic styles and refine their ability to bring artistic intention to new material — an essential skill for any professional performer.
For emerging choreographers, this program serves as a platform to create, experiment, and refine their choreographic voice while receiving mentorship from established artists. Selected choreographers will have access to dedicated rehearsal time, professional documentation, and a cast of pre-professional dancers to bring their artistic vision to life.
